Does anyone know what makes and models of shooting tripods/monopods/bipod s are generally used within the US military. Also the rifle clamps /rest that are used with these. Specifically in the sniper role. Also interested in generally what folks have found to be good products in this area. I am looking to use these with a .308 in an AI or McMillian A4 stock.

I would suggest BOG-GEAR's HD3 tri-pod.
It is an upgrade over the CLD-3 tri-pod.
I am not a sniper first of all!
But I am aware of what some use. Not everyone uses the same gear.
Good sling would be a Viking Tactics VTAC.
Again, this is in a hunting role and with a single-shot specialty pistol, but you can see the HD-3 in action.
