Wife's grandfather had 3 shooting rooms off the back of his shop behind the reloading room. Each room was about 7' square with concrete benches in each room. You could walk in close the door and it was big enough to walk around the back of the bench to shoot on either side. 2'x3' sliding window and poke the barrel out and shoot. Worked well from -30 to 100 °F. Rooms would stay warm unless you were shooting a long string in cold weather. Never had to worry about heat from the room affecting sight picture.
Another guy I know does the same thing but has a piece of plexi glass with a 1.5" hole cut in it big enough for your barrel to poke through. Covers the open window area. Uses that in the winter and works like a charm and you stay warm.
