Shooting range box

I find cleaning as soon as I can after shooting it cleans easer.
That doesn't work for me.

First, it would be cumbersome at the range for me to do an adequate job. I've never found it difficult to clean a rifle and I've been doing it for 50+ years.

Second, I'm at the range 2 to 3 days a week. I typically shoot 10 round per range session. With varmint / predator hunting, I typically shoot 1 to 5 rounds per safari. If I cleaned after every range session or hunt, all I would be doing is cleaning rifles.

Third, my rifles shoot best with fouled barrels. I typically clean between 50 and 60 rounds fired. This works for me.

My range trips are only a couple per year (unless pistol shooting), as almost all my rifle shooting is at varmints (GS's & chucks) in the field. All that cleaning takes place on my truck tailgate, and my old USMC match shooters box has been converted into my field cleaning kit.

Nothing extreme, it holds everything I need save for cleaning rods, and has worked well for me since 1973.
Deep cleaning if needed waits until home in the shop, but ten days or so launching rats in the alfalfa takes a lot of cleaning.

My Craftsman stack developed a problem so I switched to an igloo cooler and a little red wagon.

Late to show but another vote for the Rigid stack boxes. I have a few for tools and for shooting gear. There's precut foam being sold to fit the boxes as well. Picked up some for one box as it holds my shooting rest.
