Shooting partners RDU area

I've just moved to the Durham area and am looking for people that shoot long range rifle in the area that would be interested in getting together and practicing.

I believe your biggest challenge will be finding local places to shoot. There are a number of private ranges that have waiting lists (or did when I had family living in the area), but were generally limited to 200 yards max. You may to want to check with Woody’s Rifle Club (http://www.whr.club/). It’s about a 40 minute drive from the Durham area and has a 550 yard range.

Yea, we have the same issue down on the coast here @ Shallotte/Ocean Isle Beach area. Nothing much available here either for long range.

Frontline Defense outside Henderson has a nice 1000yd range, training, and frequent PRS matches.

http://northstateshootingclub.com/ has matches up to 1,000 yds. at Butner. There is, however, no individual shooting at Camp Butner. Central Carolina Gun Club is near completion of a 1,000 yd. range.
