Thank you, Ken that was the point I was trying to make, kinda. No matter whether you read from a screen or a printed page someone had to write it there, and his/her advise is only as good as he/she is credible. Gun writers online/in print get paid by someone, mostly by gun manufacturers, who best interest do you think they have in mind?
 
I think the last big hoorah for magazines was the Publishers Clearing House effort to sell magazines and make one or two families into millionaires.
Before that there was the groups of troubled teens that were dropped off in your neighborhood, going door to door selling subscriptions.
 
I have found the same issues with bird dog training. I found some books in my formative years from the "golden age" and found them more beneficial than the newer books. I have often wondered about the knowledge in the older books compared to current times.
