Shooting house

don't forget the couch for doggy and the recliner for yourself, cameras are a plus,,windows that slide up give more room for barrel swing,,computer to for updates,,darn starting to sound
like mine,,

I'm embarrassed to say how long I've been doing this but it's finally almost done.

It's an attached shooting room to my shop. I'll have two benches inside with plans fir a couple more outside. I can shoot to 525 from here but most of my shooting is 100-200.

I poured the pad a few years ago and have killed deer out to 500 a few times, from a bench.

It'll be heated and cooled very soon. I use to shoot from my shop a lot but got really tired of trying to cool the earth from my back door.

Anyway, getting excited at this point. I hope to shoot year round again. Good place to practice and test builds and products.

I could only dream of a “shooting room”.

Need to talk to my career counselor.........

Updated pics. Getting there, slowly but surely. Gotta trim it out, run wire and insulate, then start thinking about benches. I did put the windows at what should be a very workable height. There is one that is just there in case someone or something walks by while shooting. Idea being, see them first.

Lookin good!! If you've been to bart’s you know to put a huge masking tape “x” on the window in front of the bench and get a fan for the mirage of the heat/cooler air mixing right in front of the scope- its fierce.
Had a New 30 br that I wanted to sight in at 100 yrds..it was really cold, went out to set up target, came back, closed the floor to ceiling glass door. That brand new (first shot) BR added $700 to the cost of gun:(. The glass door now wears a 10'' orange spotter.

Well... that’s better than a rookie hunter at camp that awoke first, spotted a deer, raised a window to engage, but in his excitement neglected to extend the muzzle outside! Not only did he break the window, but was nearly killed by his deaf, dazed, and barely awake hosts!:eek:
