Excited to transform my 24x30 Shop into my GUN-FUN area!

It always been wanted, needed but I just let other things in the way! After my little battle with this Cancer, its not time to wait on projects anymore. I have started clearing out the shop mostly stored junk. When I get done with that, I am sectioning off a 12x24 room on the entry side of my shop for my small reloading setup, gun work bench, tools, and built in gun safe complete with TV and some seating for BS sessions. The main wall that I am adding for the gun room wall will have a center positioned doorway leading into the remaining workshop area 18x24 with rear roll up door. This shop area on one side will have a dedicated tool storage and work bench on the full length of that 18' wall. On the opposite wall in the corner will be an inside shooting bench with a sliding glass window where out my back yard I can shoot at distance up to 130yards, doubles as a good deer stand for those laze days too. I will have a rolling worktable as well that can be moved around where needed. Main shop vise, Grinder stand, Drill press will be oriented somewhere in the space along the remaining wall behind the shooting table. Insulated, heated and cooled and the project begins as soon as the doctors release me from this surgery to begin doing some work. I would like to see others' ideas and plans that work well in your space! First order of business is to finish removing things from this space and get my wiring in place so we can get the whole shop insulated with the spray foam! Beyond excited!

It is such a Blessing that the Good Lord has given you an extension of life. Now is the time to make the most of it and thank the Lord each and every day for this wonderful opportunity.
Yes, we're going to want to see pictures:);)

Sounds like you have a nice plan to convert that area to a mancave. You will enjoy having it no doubt. Good luck with it and hope it turns out to be as much of an enjoyment as mine is. It is only 12 X 20 but it sure beats the 11 X 12 area I had before I closed in my rear lean to shed on the rear of my shop. Recently added my A C unit and beefed up my kitchen arrangement.

That is a very nice space, thanks for sharing the pics, my actual gun room area will be similar dimensions but I will have the added space of the shop floor.

Wow!!
It's all so clean and well organized!!!!

Congrats!! happy for you!
One thing I found in my room was the need for lots of table space--when I am loading up my gear for a match--I have two big tables--lay the cases out--the range bags etc make sure I have everything organized and ready--same when I get back from a match or range trip--throw it all on the table and unpack--you will Love having as much table space as possible-trust me
Enjoy every minute

Every guy should have a "mancave". ;)

Since I now live alone on Robinson Crusoe Island, I have a "man house." My house keeps evolving into a "cabin like" environment. My reloading table is in the ex-dining room and soon I plan to relocate my work bench from the "Antarctic like" basement to my daughter old room which is now totally empty. I am going primal.

Great idea, I had planned to have a rolling work top table in the "Shop" side of my building that would work well for getting organized, appreciate the tip!

Glad your health is improving....looks great and you will enjoy. Cramped and too hot/cold/humid doesn't lend itself to good handloads!!
Yes sir, my dad reloaded, and his shop was not climate controlled, and we had to move his inside his house to another space. So I vowed if I ever got the chance to do this do it right and have a controlled climate space.
