Shooting Chrony

Is there any way to reset the Chrony to zero (start first shot) when useing.

Another words: If you shoot 5 strings of 10 shots, I want indivual ES/SD scores and stats.

It seems the only way to start from scratch on each string is to turn off the Chrony between strings!

I don't have one but found this. See if this is what you are looking for.

Starting a new String:
Turn your Chrony OFF and the ON again. Or, (if you don’t want to get up) press & release the FU button until -Hi- is displayed. Hold the button in until the display changes to -CL-, then release the button. -Clr- is now displayed. Press & release the button until the display changes to -CLS-, then press & hold button in until the display flashes. Release button immediately.

Thats all I have ever done. 1- key stroke/switch and its done. I dont have a prob copying the data down between strings, keeps me occupied while letting rifle cool down and me settle down. One way I look at doing it this way, it's less stored data to sort out later leaving less room for error or confusion.

Yeah, that "feature" along with having to pick up a pen & write the numbers down in a notebook are what finally made me buy an Oehler 35P.

It has its own limitations though; a range I frequent just added vertical steel baffles right at the firing line. Last Tuesday I had to pull the skyscreens to get reliable numbers even though it was a cloudless morning.

That's why I got the "Master" version, I have the control/display on the bench with me.

There is a homeade upgrade that can be done, to give you another control with added features if you have the F-1. you can make the switch as long as you want,,just more wire,,

from "slick",,
Here's the deal.. You can buy an F1 Shooting Chrony for only $69 on sale but to "access" all the cool features like Hi, Lo, Average Dev, Standard Dev, extreem spread, etc you need to buy a "remote" or printer that plugs into the "FU" jack.. I thought it was funny that they called it an "F-U" jack since it's such a simple device to exponentially increase the usability of the device - FU obviously means "function" .

Anyways to build a remote you will need a 3 pole sterio 1/8 headphone jack plug. Even though only 2 connections are used a 2 pole jack WILL NOT work!!! Trust me on this as I had to go back and exchange parts.

On a 1/8 inch sterio headphone jack there are three poles - the tip, the middle, and the "base". Even though it is a two pole connection, the Chrony uses the middle and base connections on the plug. All you need to do is solder a length of speaker wire to the above mentioned poles of the plug and put a momentary contact switch at the other end!

Please note that the "tip" connection on the jack's plug is NOT used. I'm hoping that sharing this information will nudge few of my fellow loaders into plunking down for a Chrony now that all of the features can be accessed without purchasing expensive "Extras".
It works!! ;) :)
