Shooting bench brackets ?

Lonnie,

Can't remember the guys name, but he makes heavy duty angled brackets for 3/4" or 1" pipe so you can build your own bench. Try putting up a question at:

Sorry I can't be of more help. Have a great day.

Lonnie,

I have a bench very simmilar to lynn's, very stable, I used 45 degree elbows were the 1" pipe connects to the bench. This helped alot with stability.

I have made a couple different kinds of portable shooting benches for shooting Prairie Dogs off of. The first I made used the Pipe Flanges and Black Pipe for Legs. I used a simple plywood top, and glued and screwed 1x6's around the perimeter of the bottom of the plywood for more stability. This worked good, but got to be a pain setting it up and taking it down a dozen times a day while Prairie Dog Shooting.

Next I made a portable shooting bench with folding legs. The main from is a "Y" shaped affair made out of 1" square tubing I welded together. The 1"square tubing legs simply hinge off of the main frame. I just bolted the top to the main frame and it was done.

For the hinge for the legs I used two pieces of 1/8" thick flat iron welded to the top of the legs. When the legs are laid flat against the frame these flat irons extend down over the frame and I just drilled a hole through the flat irons and frame, installed a bolt and the hinge was done/

This is about as simple as it gets, pretty much indestructable, and quite sturdy provided the legs sit at the right angle to the frame.
