Shooter’s World The Creed

Hello,

Midway got me again, I impulse bought some shooters world ‘The Creed’ powder because it was cheap and I ‘needed’ to get over the free hazmat cost.

Anyone here tried this powder out yet? Planning on trying it out in 243 first and 7mm-08 if/when they publish load data for it. They also claim some quite high velocities in 223 with 77 grain bullets that I’ll probably try out too.

SW powder used to be cheap at $18/lb, then they joined the greed craze. Got rid of what I had and no more to come.

According to the data I've seen, it's a little fast for the Creedmoor and looks more promising in 7-08, 308, 22 ARC, Dasher, etc...

Yeah, I just pulled it up, I haven't used that powder yet surprisingly, because I normally try them all. It's listed right between H380 and Ramshot Biggame on the fast side, and AA2700/H414 on the slow side, I'm leaning toward the fast side, as Socem has the max charge in 308 with a generic 168gr bthp at 44.5grns and 59k psi, which to me is closer to Imr4064, but crappy case fill because it's a ball powder. You never know though, it could be a great powder. I use a ton of ball powders these days. The technology has come a long way.

For 130, 140 & 143 grain Bullets and Accuracy,.. it's StaBall 65 and THROWN Charges for,.. Me !
43.3 grs of, StaBall 65 and a 130 gr. ELD-M, is my Favorite Load @ 2,850 fps ( and Sub 1/2 MOA )
LOW Recoil, from my Braked Tikka, .554 BC and clover Leaf's = Good to,.. 850 yards on 8" or 10" Dia. Plates.
Still Gotta watch,.. the "Wind" a Bit, tho !
I Should probably be shooting, the Higher BC, 140 or, 147 gr., M's,.. But I'm a Bit, Recoil SHY and do Better with,..
LOW to,.. NO,. Recoil ( Yup,.. I'm Spoiled, now )

Fortunately for Me, I found that, 65 StaBall, shot "Well" several Years ago and stockpiled, a bunch at,..
$31 to, $33.00 per Pound about, 4-5 years, ago.
I just Add in, a couple of Pounds and STIR well to,.. Blend "Lots" and Store Carefully in a Plywood Lined, Steel Vault on Wheels at, in the House, Room Temp.

I use a ton of Staball 6.5, use it in 2 6GTs, a 6 Creedmoor, and currently testing it in 6br with promise. In the first 3 it's crazy fast and shoots little bugholes with tight SDs. Gave crazy velocity and good SDs in 22 grendel, but accuracy wouldn't match a couple others I tried. Ramshot Grand is the shit in 7mm remington magnum, 3130 with 180s and under book max, single digit SDs and .25-.35" in a hunting rig. PP2000MR is my go to for 223 and 308. Leverevolution is king in 6ARC. I'm liking the new ball powders, I run them through the V4, but could probably get very similar results just throwing charges.
