Shooters World Powders

I've made several attempts to get it to run in my 22BR. It just doesn't work well.

I can find excellent nodes between 2950 and 3000fps with Varget. I pressure out at 2900fps and get wild chrono readings with SW Precision.

At first I tried to get a 2990fps speed to match my Varget load. Heavy bolt lift forced me to give up long before reaching that velocity. Then I figured I would settle for something much slower, but couldn't find a decent node on a couple different attempts. I gave up. Its 223 powder now.
Have you tried SW Long Rifle ? I used some in my 6BR and 6XC but due to shoulder surgery haven’t had time to mess with it much. It looked like it was accurate but I didn’t get to do hardly any work up.

It's possible that it's the wrong SWP for your 22br and bullet combo.

So far, Precision has given me the best groups in .308 with Sierra and Nosler 168 gr. bullets. Better than Varget in fact. Varget is still doing better with 175 gr. bullets. I also have had great results with SW4350 in my .270 loads with 130 gr. Grand Slam and 150 gr. Fusion bullet loads for hunting. Count me among those very impressed with Shooters World powders!

Its possible.

I tried Precision due to the comparisons to Varget. SW marketing said it was similar, but not in my rifle.

I've tinkered a little with SW Long rifle in my BR. But I don't have much of it to play with. So I'm saving it to test in my 6GT.

I have SW Long Rifle but have not used it much in the 6BR or 6XC . I have loaded some in LR for my .243 I just put together but have yet to shoot it. In the 6XC I use SW4350 and it is doing pretty good.

Would you mind sharing your SW4350 load?

I have SW Match rifle I plan on trying in my 6br this spring. May just use it for 223 since Match Rifle is a ball powder, but it should work since I have a few pounds of it and finding powder is getting difficult.

I'm having very good results with the SW Match in an 80 grain .223 and also with 105 Grain 6x45mm...both are right at 20" tubes.

Hey Jarhead, shot a bit of it in a Dasher (and a 308 and trying some in 223 AI and straight 223) and results are promising...bought some as an alternative to Varget because of its availability and price point, but don't have any real data yet that you are looking for im sure. I do think it's worth a try though... I hope to know more soon. Semper Fi, Kevinhi ok

I bought some Match rifle to try in my 22br. I shoot the 53 vmax and a 62gr bthp with great results using AA2520 and Match is supposed to be similar. Too cold to mess with it, gonna wait till March!!
