Are you hungry? It looks like a relatively young deer to me but what I or we think doesn't really matter. Will it suit you? I am thinking not because you are asking. At the end of the day who cares what everybody else thinks. YOU enjoy yourself and enjoy the bounty it brings to the table. From my own experience, tag soup sucks!

It depends on the buck quality in your area. In some states that's a trophy, in some it's a hard pass.

Nothing to do with horn mass, body/face of a young deer. We hunt mature deer(yes occasionally an old doe that likes to alert the herd we're nearby).

That said, I am not going to the store for $6.00 a pound ground beef these days.

I don’t hunt for for anything but meat, he’s really all that’s been on my property. Him and a spike, and I figure he’s atleast older than the spike

Personally I would pass, but I’m a big proponent of people using their tags however they see fit.

personally I would pass even on the last day of the season
might be a tad bit hard to do but in seasons to come you will see why when he grows into those antlers
