they have been in business, for what 200 years? it's not just a little problem here or there. they should be kicking UPS and FEDEX down the street , instead they get worse and worse. a few more years and they will go belly up or more likely they will come whining to the taxpayers for another 20 billion.

and the postal union has fought him tooth and nail. tell me you really need mail on Sat? No Saturday delivery would have gone along way to fix the problem. yea I know buddy, I think Trump caused WWII also. I bet you already sent your vote in for Biden, good job!

They have been in business for a long time as a public service and it serve a lot more people than when it started.
It has never been a goal for the mail service to make a profit.
It's like the police, they don't make a profit either, it's a service.

You're correct, we probably don't need mail on Saturday, but I'm used to it and like it. I suppose I could get by with mail once a week or so too. That would save money.
There are a lot of us who like getting mail and packages.

The Postmaster General removed and destroyed many of the automated machines at postal facilities when he became Postmaster General with no appropriations or plans to replace them. The mail immediately went downhill quickly and they are still trying to recover. He was and has always been a political appointee disaster.
