Shilen short chambered Remington 700 barrel mark question

I understand all of the electropencil marks on my Shilen short chambered .308 Win 700 barrel except for one. I think it is the contour but I don't understand how "VF" fits into the contour nomenclature. Any ideas?

The short chambered threaded barrels for Rem 700 have info on the breech ring that is too narrow for stamping. You can see pics of this on the Brownells site. I know the contour is Remington Varmint (Sendero) I just wondered how "VF" relates to that.

Called Shilen and the answer wasn't known by the receptionist who seemed quite knowledgeable. She speculated it may be a smith's initials but asked a technician. "VF" means "Varmint Factory" which is the same as Remington varmint and Sendero contours.
