Shilen Ratchet Barrel

Anyone shooting a Shilen ratchet rifled barrel - pro and cons please before I order one. The other barrel manufactures are out of stock or it will take 10 months due to a backlog.

My fav groundhog 6BR has been wearing a 1-14 since 2000. It’s very accurate and cleans up well. The same for my 260 Rem with 1-8 ratchet.I don’t have anything negative to say of either ratchet barrel.

At the risk of looking like I'm hijacking the thread, who is shooting a Shilen ratchet or conventional rifling at 1K in any discipline?

I had a 1:13 twist ratchet Shilen that I used for midrange Fclass. It shot 155.5s extremely well, and racked up a number of state wins between 2 owners and lasted well into the 5000 rounds fired range. I've *wanted* to order a 1:10 ratchet just to see how it would do with 200 gr bullets that now you pretty much have to use at 1k, and probably should use at 600. I just haven't got around to doing it yet.

They've been a fairly popular choice of the sling shooters I've been paired with. You don't see many Shilens in F-Class, so I was a bit surprised to hear so many of them talk about using Shilens.

I ordered my Shilen ratcheted 4 groove barrel - what is the best length for a 30br? I am also looking for load data if anyone has a list of loads. In fact any and all info on the 30br would be fantastic - really like the history and experiences from the shooters here.
