Shilen DGA #2106 bolt lift

I Have a Shilen dga, chambered with a JGS reamer in 6.5 rem BR, when i first started with my load development I thought I had pressure issues on low loads. Rookie mistake i know. Found out when i got home that the bolt is kinda heavy to Cock the firing pin and there is a bit cock on close. Is this normal on the dga action ? It was worse with the timney trigger than orginal shilen trigger.

Best regards from a Br neewbie in Norway

A little follow up on this project. I have some issues with either the chamber or the boltface. 20250323_225052.jpgThis is a FL sized case with 0.02 shoulderbump, if you chamber a case with a marking 12 o'clock on the case it Chambers fine. Rotate the case 90° to 15 o'clock there is resistance on the bolt and these markings on the cases. The chamber looks good after inspection.

Have some off you seen something similar? I thought the DGA action was pretty straight so the gunsmith only chambered the barrel.

The test was done without firingpin mechanism.
it is only resitance one place when you do the 90 degree test. Maybe try a new Gunsmith, first time the boltnose hit the back of the barrel, secondtime i found out a bit of the old chamber was left in the barrel. Nos 6.5x55 chambered matchbarrel that the chamber was removed and chambered in 6.5br Rem.

the load is not that hot either 100gr a-max over 32gr with n140.

The two problems that you have highlighted doesn't give me much confidence in the chamber.may be it's not concentric to the bore.maybe it's not square to the bolt face etc.if the initial set up is not correct a bad chamber will follow and all the other problems can follow suit.
