Shilen 6.8SPC AR Barrel

Just bought my first "custom" barrel!!! Shilen 6.8 SPC barrel for an AR I'm building my dad. Primary intentions being coyotes, can't wait to get it in and build to check some accuracy. Have 100rds of Hornady 110gn V-max for breaking in and initial reports. Sorry, had to shout it somewhere!

Make sure you have 6.8 mags for it and don't waste your time on 5.56 mags. Also a Knights Arm. Bolt & carrier for 6.8 is money well spent.
Are you building as a Gas gun or PDS?

It will be a gas gun, the forend I want doesn't clear a piston system. I will get PRI 6.8 mags, the Shilen barrel comes with a matched bolt, probably going to use Rock River for the carrier.

I use a Burris 4.5-14x50 Ballistic Mil dot on my SAM R AR. Sounds like you've chosen well
