Shilen 17 Mach IV

So I contacted Shilen and requested a reamer print for their 17 Mach IV offering. They responded that they do not have that particular print.

Has anyone purchased a barrel in 17 Mach IV from Shilen within the last couple of years? Was curious as to neck diameter. The last 17 Mach IV barrel I bought required turned necks, even though it was supposedly a no-turn. I don't mind turning necks, just want to know up front what's going to be required.

Thanks.

Rich

A “no turn” neck means little, depends on original parent case. The 221RP case could even be different today from years past.
I went with 17Fireball.

"Since Shilen Rifles Inc has been in business for over 60 years, some of the reamers we use to cut chambers can be upwards of 30 years old on the less popular chambers that we offer. Reamer manufactures only recently started producing prints to give to customers when purchasing new reamers. Therefore, some of our reamers do not have specific prints to accurately represent the chamber cut dimensions. The reamer you have requested we do not have the print for."

So the Cooper print I have shows a .2015 neck, which is a no-turn for the 221 FB brass that I used for forming. The barrel that I thought was a no-turn was something like .198-ish. There was no 17FB when I started this in 2000. Not sure I want to 'convert' just yet, although that may happen.

I forget the difference in the two, was minimal. About like difference of the BR case between RP and Lapua.
Shilens 22BR was for RP case, they now show Lapua.
