in aerospace composite construction we use a lot of “pre-impregnated” fabric in the construction of composite parts. The resin content (percentage by weight) is controlled by specification. But the key here is the resin is mixed with catalyst prior to impregnating. The fabric is then frozen to virtually halt the catalyze game process. It has a “freezer time” of about a year. After thawing the working time is about one day before it has to go into the autoclave

Is JB Weld a decent bedding compound? Or do people just use it in a pinch?

Preferred option in most cases
