My first post to the forum.
Question - Looking for guidance on using either a Sinclair Tactical Bipod or the Sinclair F Class Bipod for competing in F T/R. Also, what type of adapter to use to ensure the bipod won't slip along the bottom of the rifle (Savage F/TR model 12)
Background:
-My major concern is being able to shoot with same feel as a sling shooter - good stock weld and shoulder pressure (have dabbled in high-power and indoor rimfire competition years ago)
-Haven't competed for years and wanted to start competing again this year without all the equipment (jacket, sling, etc).
Equipment and Range:
-I'm slowly setting up a 308 Savage Model 12 F/TR.
-At this point, I've got the rifle mounted with a 12-42 Nightforce Benchrest model scope with Ken Ferrell rings and base (30 moa base).
-Home rifle range goes out to 300 yards.
-Have been shooting the rifle across a bench with no support and groups have been holding 2 to 2.5 inches (Lake City and Federal Match).
-Plan on reloading; that's another area I'll hit the forum up on later.
Respectfully,
