Setting up KK 500

Hey All,

I just picked up a Walther KK500 with the Expert stock and the INSIGHT-OUT rear sight. When placing the rear sight for prone, about how far away from my eye should it be?

Thanks,
Jay

Distance from your eye also depends on the size of the rear aperture.

If it is a fixed rear aperture, leave the rear sight loose on the dovetail, get into position and slide the sight forward or aft so you have a comfortable amount of light around the front sight.

If it is an adjustable aperture, you can set the eye relief at about 1 to 1-1/2” and alter the size to suit.

^^ what he said.
Sometimes it helps to close your eyes while you get in position so the initial placement of the rear sight doesn't influence head position, then have a friend move the sight while your in position.

Congrats on a great rifle!!!!!
