Pretty much all custom flat base BR bullets have a pressure ring. It’s a product of the way they are made. What bullets have the ring, are they built like that by design?
As an example, I have some BIB 6.5 caliber 135 grain bullets with a large pressure ring. What bullets have the ring, are they built like that by design?

With a pressure ring ?RG advises .004 NT on his 118s
Just pretend that the pressure ring isn’t there. There’s no special care needed just because it has a pressure ring. Just seat the bullet like you would any bullet. Test bushing sizes like you would for any bullet. Carry on!I have about .001 bullet tension in the case mouth , will that damage the pressure ring or should that be less ? Brass has been annealed .
