Service Rifle Question

I just shoot 77s across the course. At my level (expert) it’s just not worth the hassle of keeping track of two different boxes of ammo. The 80s aren’t that much better.
This might work for you, but I have found the 80s are worth the money for the points. It's also mental.. which most of this game is!

Not a huge X count but I was pretty happy with it, considering the circumstances that day. 80 SMKs.

Nice Brady!

The 600 yard clean with a service rifle has still eluded me.
My best in a match back in the days of Irons was a 199-12X with 80 gr Sierra Match Kings over RL15

The link below is my current 600 yard high with a scope ( vortex PST ) service rifle 199-13X with Berger 82's over Alliant AR-Comp

I called shot 8 as slightly heavy on the trigger and got the common from a right handed shooters 4pm shot out.

The first summer I shot XC I used hand loaded pulled down m-193 bullets. I learned more that summer about wind than I ever would have using something heavier. Using a bullet that will deflect more in wind forces you to pay attention. Then when you go back to something heavier it is almost like cheating.

I personally do not feel handicapped by using one load.
