Sent my family running

I am pickling eggs tonight since we are going on vacation soon....I love pickled eggs so Ill take them with me I mean they travel well lol.

Im trying something different tonight I boiled about 20 quartered big jalapenos, 5 big cloves of garlic and 2 white onions mixed with 3 cups of apple cider vinegar and 3 cups distilled water.....pour the mixture after boiling a little while over a couple dozen eggs and wammo Heaven on earth.

My wife and little girl walked in and started gagging my daughter says it smelled like rotten cantaloupe covered in cat turds lol. My wife is just cussin me asking what the hell am I cooking......I tried to explain how good they will taste and its more than worth the temporary discomfort on the nostrils....Ill admit I was laughing so hard I was crying....I know they wont even think about trying one after smelling them cooking but that's just more for me.

I raised quail for a while and we pickled some several different ways... everyone loved them, I tried one, it was ok but Im not a fan. The fiance did some cajun style, spicy, people gobbled them down... I guess its for some, not for others.. haha

This is the first thing that came to my mind, as well......The AFTERMATH!!!!!!!!!!

Chase those suckers down with a couple cheep beers and pull out the Government surplus gas masks......

Good observation!Try an experiment in removing any impurities in the "gas bubble" by washing them down with a six pack of Heineken,Ah! the bouquet

Texture isn't appetizing either.
Like my great grandma said "Oof Dah!!! Get dat away!! We only ate that when we were starfink in the olt country!"

Throw some chunks of salmon or trout in with the eggs. MMmmmmmm.

I had pickled Salmon in Hibbing Minnesota and man it was the best. The old guy that made it said the key to the flavor was scrape all the slime off the skin of the fish and put it in the jar. Ill be honest the first time I tried it was out of pure RESPECT for my elders and and nothing else. Before I left Minnesota I was begging him to mail me some man it was GOOOOOD stuff. Those were the nicest and best hearted people I've ever met in my life.
