SELLING Semi custom 22 Creedmoor

Jason D Hostetter

Silver $$ Contributor
Savage 12 top bolt release 4.4' action, face and lug squared.
Kenny's extractor/ejector kit
Tigger tuned to 18oz (5 pull average)
Wilson 8 twist varmint contour blank, chambered with my own JGS reamer, .256 neck od .105" freebore, 1°-30 leade. 90° recessed crown.
Barreled action cerakoted H series Graphite Black.
Weaver 20moa base.
HS Precision PSV 118 in tan with black web.
Accurate Mag bottom metal and 5rd magazine.
Sightron Stac 4-20×50 MOA2 reticle.
86rds fired total. Brass and rounds included.
Also have the original box for the scope.
It's ready to hunt, long range song dogs, prairie dogs, or small deer, may be heavy for some, coming in at 13lbs ready to go. Very low round count, shoots .2-.3 at 3548fps avg with 80gr eldms, and the SD and ES hang around 3-4 and 7-9. I stopped shooting 22 Creedmoor and have been shooting 22 GT, as they are slightly easier on barrels, and I've also moved away from Savage actions. Looking to get $2100.00 for everything, including shipping, which will be 2 separate packages, the rifle, and then the original scope box and ammo case. Feel free to ask any questions.
Will also take an Origin SA + cash on trade.

Saw you are looking for an origin action for trade. I have a Proof Carbon 6 creed barrel cut for a TL3 if you end up finding an origin and hlr lug and have any interest in a barrel.

Bump for a sweet looking varmint gun

I appreciate it, but I have a 6 Creedmoor on an Aero Solus action. I rarely even shoot it anymore. I shoot the 6GT and 6BR most of the time.

Competition, I'd take the BR, I'm running a 31" barrel, and can get 3060-3080 accurately and safely with 3 powders, RL17 and 2000mr with only 34-34.3 grns with 109 Bergers or 37.5grns of Staball 6.5, I say that based solely on barrel life, because they can both shoot 0s and .1s, but I have a 23" GT and a 30", I shoot Staball 6.5 in both, in the 23" I get 3150 with 108 Berger Elites and 41.5grns, in the 30" I shoot 105 hybrids at 3195 with 41.3grns, both in Alpha brass, no cratering or bolt lift. I use CCI 450s in all three. Both are very accurate and very capable, especially if you step away from the "normal" powders. If I were to use normal powders, it would be H4895 and RL16, then the GT would be accurate 200+fps faster than the BR.

I like pretty much all of the BR, GT, and Creedmoor based cartridges, it's just that the 22 Creedmoor is a little impractical for the type of shooting I do, and unfortunately not legal to hunt whitetail with in Virginia. Most of my shooting is field steel prone matches or ELR, and the 22 Creedmoor is too rough on barrels for those. You could use a 22 Creedmoor for a mile shot, but you'd have about 5-7 rounds to hit, before the barrel is too toasty. It could be done though, I've done it on the 3rd round with a 223, and got a total of 7 out of 15 rounds on target, using the same 80grn ELDM. At any rate, I'll drop it one final time, $1850.00 FFL to FFL. That's basically 1750 to me.

Stock 425
Dbm+mag 175
Action 400
Barrel blank 200
Chamber and crown, done myself, but I get 175 for doing it.
Cerakote barreled action 175
Base 30
Rings 30
Scope 460
Brass 110
Extractor kit 30
That's $2210.00 I have in this thing, if I count my labor, and not count any shipping that I paid, which several of the items came from different places, so shipping was probably close to what my labor is.
