selling extra Factory loaded ammo, is there a good (legal) way?

of course I don't want to break any laws, but after narrowing down my gun calibers, I some left over ammo. what is the easiest way to sell it?

Do you know someone who does the local gunshows? Might have them take it and put it on their table. Or, take it to a gunshow yourself and sell/trade it for something you want. Although, some want to see sealed/unopened boxes. Price it right and it'll go away. Give it to a friend or relative that has a rifle/handgun that can use it. Is there a gunsmith locally that chambers? Many want to test fire (for size and visual inspection) with factory ammo. Shipping ammo is like shipping aerosols.

I advertise on this site, Gunbroker and/or Armslist. You can ship ammunition through UPS as long as the box is marked with an ORM-D sticker (find and print online). You can not ship into California and not sure about Hawaii right now but do look it up.

selling is not an issue for factory loaded, just ship it properly as stated.

I advertise on this site, Gunbroker and/or Armslist. You can ship ammunition through UPS as long as the box is marked with an ORM-D sticker (find and print online). You can not ship into California and not sure about Hawaii right now but do look it up.

You can also ship via Fedex Ground with the ORM-D label. I think that with both UPS and Fedex, though, you can only ship from a hub. No drop-offs or non-hub locations.

Although you are supposed to ship from a Hub, I have had local UPS Stores accept it for shipment. Just don't trying sending it USPS as the fine is something like $10,000.

Didn't say he couldn't ship it, just that it ships the same as aerosols which is ORMD. I just can't see too many paying UPS/FedEx shipping for a couple of open boxes of ammo. With todays cost of shipping, it'd have to be something "special"!
