Sell or keep Pedersoli Billy Dixon Sharps

Anyone on this forum probably understands that sometimes we buy a gun just "because". Years ago I bought a Pedersoli 1874 Sharps Billy Dixon, 45-70. It has been in my safe since day one. I take it out and think, "I love this thing it's beautiful" and then "why do I still keep this?" I seem to like expensive hobbies so I an thinking it might be time to move on. It has some high end tang sight and I even have a .22lr conversion insert for it (I know, don't say it ). I can't find an up to date value for this rifle. New, are out of stock, used are almost as rare. What would be a fair sale price to an acquaintance. I don't want to get rich, but not into giving it away either. Thanks for whatever help you can offer.
