Seeking info on this windage top.

Hi All,

Giving this another go, I've had troubles getting the thread to post...

I'm new here and hoping to learn a bit about the windage top on this Hart rest.

I obtained the rest years ago from the estate of a very active bench rest shooter. I know the base and the unattached top are stock Hart, but I do not know anything about the windage top.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am much more of a hunter and general shooting enthusiast than any sort of serious bench rester and I've been lately thinking it is a shame the rest isn't being better utilized.

Cheers and thanks in advance for any replies,

Pete

It's Greenlaw I'm nearly certain
Agreed!

Sorry for the dark picture. This is a Greenlaw rest with his adjustable windage top I use to have

So,is this a FOR SALE ad ?

I use an old school cast iron Bald eagle base ( it's actually a left handed ) and the windage top (set up left handed ) that came on it looks similar . The hardware is a little different from the op's. I just assumed it's a bald eagle top too???

Yes the one in the OPs picture is identical to my Ron Hoehn and Boyd is right he doesn't make them any more. A few years ago he did sell me some parts.

Yes I have a Ron Hoehn top that is identical to that, except for the knobs on the adjustment.

Wonder what I did with that thing?

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated.

I mentioned in an earlier reply that I had reached out to Dan Greenlaw as a few had suggested it might have been one of his. He replied it wasn't and thought it might be an older Bald Eagle. I'm going to email Ron Hoehn and ask if it is one of his as well, I'll let you know if I get a reply.

If its Ron's make sure to order the slick tape to replace what is most likley worn out tape on the sliding parts in the windage adjustment. He told me that they were to loose without the tape.
