Windage top needed

I shoot 100/200 score and now I shot my 2nd 600 bench rest. I have been using a friends farley rest. Next year I intend to shoot score, 600 benchrest and perhaps F-class.

I found a long range rest that was designed for long range and F-class. The problem is that the rest has no windage capabilities.

What I need is a windage top. This windage top should be impressive and well built.

I tried to contact SEB about selling me his top but no response. I am not that happy with my friends Farley rest. It may be his specific rest, but it is not impressive to me. The SEB rest seems better built.

Since the long range rest has excellent vertical adjustments, I really need a well designed windage unit.

Any suggestions and thoughts will be appreciated.

There are a number of good tops w/windage so you may have to check around ie., Sinclair-Hart-etc. My most recent rest top
,w/widage) is a Russ Haydon unit try him at www.shooters-supply.com
A nice unit,anodized aluminum)

I have owned a lot of different tops and Butch makes one of the the best.

Lambert is a class act, very easy to do business with...

Remember when you are on your belly a conventional windage top adjustments are hard to reach and you could be moving the rest of your rifle doing it.

Thanks everybody. When you try to buy one tool to two jobs it just not easy. A hammer will not replace a plier or a screwdriver.

I was trying to get a large F-class/long range front rest. I wanted the windage top for score, so I could do two jobs, and save some money. It just did not make sense after weighting all the factors.

I decided as of now to order a SEB for 100/200 score.

A viper rest for long range and if I ever shoot "F" class some extra long feet with large pads.

Again, thanks for your inputs.

Regards,

Timber Man
