I always had great results with the 160 AB on paper and game, but switched to the 175 LR version last year after testing them. My 280ai shot them better than Bergers and with more velocity with RL 26. 2 different 7 saums also shot them well. On wet newspaper test at 100 yards the 175 LR went thru 24” bundle. The Berger 175 elite hunter only made it half way and was nothing left but small pieces of jacket. At 400 the the ablr had the most penetration and weight retention. 180 Berger hyb was next and 180 vld 3rd, 175 elite hunter last. The bullet in the picture at 400 was in wet newspaper. The 600 yard was in home made ballistic gel 19” long with fresh elk hide on both sides with some body parts in between. Found bullet in the hide on back side. Never recovered one from elk we shot even at over 600 yards . None on there feet for more than 30 yards. It’s the best bullet I have found that’s tough for close shots and still had a good BC for long range. They shoot better than the 160 ab I used to shoot, especially out past 1000 yd.
