Second day with the BRA

After fire forming cases yesterday, I decided to try some real 6BR-AI loads today and get some more practice with the Ezell tuner. I shot 31 gr. of H4895 and Bart's 105gr. Infinity sparked by Fed. 205 primers.

I set the tuner out from the innermost setting by 1 and 1/4 turns ; or until the zero mark came up the second time. Then I tried some test loads at that "zero" setting. I loaded all rounds with 31.0 gr. of H4895 and started testing at .005 off jam for 3 shots; then .010 off; .015 off; and finally .020 off.

Then I loaded some more rounds at .020 off (since it was the best) and proceeded to check the tuner with that load. I shot groups with 6 settings. First was one mark in (31) and it measured 0.102; next was 2 in (30) and it measured an ugly 0.475; third was 3 in and showed a 0.110 group. Then I moved the tuner out from zero one thousandth at a time. At a setting of (1) I got a .0127 group, followed by an ugly 0.402 group. The last group of the day was at (3) and it measured 0.260.
Both the temperature and the wind were picking up, so I quit for the day. PS- I cleaned after ~ every 10 rounds. Good shooting.....JamesDSCF2002 (3).JPG

I appreciate you taking the time to post. I will be running the same set up with the same tuner before spring. Looks like things are coming together nicely.......Best of luck......Please keep us updated.

Best Regards
Rick
