Seb Neo X or Rodzilla Raptor?

These are arguably the two most sought after front rests that have just hit the market. If you’re looking to order one, I have them side by side so you can figure out which one fits your needs better.

Great review, as usual from you John. I’m on the Neo X list, but likely pretty far down (#400 or even greater). I love the functionality of the stand and although I requested mine be the all polished silver version, I have to say that anodized blue looks freaking great.

So, after having time to use these, what are the pros and cons of each.

Which do you prefer and why?

John, it sure would be nice if you review the new updated Rodzilla.

Same here. We might all need therapy
I don't need therapy. I just need rest. (cough) (rim shot)

No long ago, my Neo-X arrived. I am very pleased with it. Far more stable than the Mini I had. I can't comment on the Rodzilla other than I had a Rodzilla top on the Mini for a while. Although implemented differently, I'd say the Neo-X and Rodzilla tops are equivalent.

There's one subtlety about the Neo-X, I learned about after the fact. A buddy has the Neo-X Benchrest variation. It has shorter posts and substitutes a counterweight for the adjustable spring counterbalance. I like the taller posts since I shoot from a higher position due to a bit of a stiff neck. From a bench, the shorter posts would be fine. They also work prone for my pal who doesn't have neck issues like I do.
