Seb Neo counterweight info needed

I make two models since 2009 I think, the standard and the Ratigan version for LV-HV BR rifle.

View attachment 1416986The one above is the Ratigan BR weight for LV-HV gun.
The standard weight has a straight 25mm shaft along the length.
Each has its own ring/sliding piece with different inner hole but they have same outside 2" diameter.

Weight? Ratigan weight is approx 2 lbs.
The heavier your rifle the heavier the counterweight would be. On the MAX rest the counterweight has a longer shaft and two larger sliding pieces that works for rifle up to 60 lbs.

We called it BWS (balance weight system) when Paul Schmid (RIP) and I invented it last 2005 for a heavy gun named "Fist of God" @ Kelbly range. I shot it for the first time using an original seb rest with approx 4 lbs BWS.

Hope this help.

I’m putting together a gun that will come in at 17 to 20 pounds. I have the Ratigan counterweight. Sounds like I need a bigger weight. Can you help me out? Thanks.

Are you saying there is enough counterweight where I can have a neutral stick? That’s the goal.
Yes, that is exactly what he is saying, I ran an 18 pound gun for quite a while on the regular seb then purchased the Ratigan, not any difference I could tell, over 25 lbs you will need the counter weight and will need to take some time to work with adjusting and knowing where to set it, not saying you can't run the Ratigan version with lighter guns I just don't think it is a necessity. EDIT: if you take the counterweight off you will need to add the springs.

I run my Ratigan counterweight with an LV at one setting and HV gun at another setting. Pretty simple setup. I have a couple indents of adjustment left on the counterweight, so maybe it will be fine. I’ll take the wait and see approach. Can always add weight later. Thanks for the feedback.
