seating depth ?

I am playing with a few ideas for a wildcat I am designing. Without going into too many details, this will be for hunting only.

My question is would it matter how deep a bullet is seated in the case?
For example, base of bullet at or above neck/ shoulder or seated below the neck. My main concern is fitting the rounds in a magazine. I can push the shoulder back for a longer neck or seat the bullets deeper. The way I see it powder capacity would still be about the same either way.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

I am by no means an expert, but I would tend to think that pushing the shoulder back ,so the bullet base is even or in the neck would be more consitant. Accuracy is still the goal with hunting rounds. I'm looking forward too ohter thoughts.

If you desire consistent neck tension/grip, you need to keep bullet bearing away from the neck shoulder junction. Especially if your chamber neck is coaxial/non-tapered, and your necks are not turned through this junction, or, if you FL size much with a high body tapered case(any 06).

Thanks for the replies. My initial thoughts were to push the shoulder back for a longer neck and keep the bullet above the shoulder junction. I know there are a ton of wildcats already in existance, but what I am trying to do doesn't exist to my knowledge.
I could probably find something close to what I want, but where's the fun in that. ;D
