Accuracy with Bullet Seated Deep in the Case

Has anyone had any experience with accuracy when seating the bullet deep in the case? For example, if a 140gr SMK is seated to an overal cartridge length of 2.800 inches, the 'standard length' of the parent .284 Winchester cartidge in Sierra manual), the boattaol junction ends up down near the case body/shoulder junction. I have always assumed that, for accuracy, it is best to have the boattail junction a little above the neck/shoulder junction but I have had some great accuracy with lighter bullets seated out into the neck. So I was wondering what would happen to accuracy if I went the other way and the boattail was seated deep into the case. I am assuming proper case prep to remove donuts and correct freebore for proper jump/jam for the gun and the bullet. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
