Seater stem

I have a forester micrometer die and need a new stem to fit a 223 90gr VLD better
Mine is the standard stem and leaves a mark around the bullet.
Does anyone make a stem to fit the bullet better without any damage to the bullet.

If I remember correctly and they still do it, you can send a couple of your bullets with you seating stem to Forster and they will regrind it to fit. You could also buy another stem from them and have it ground so you still have your "standard" stem.

Dress a cylindrical cratex tip to shape & have at it.
Done, in a couple minutes.

I have received VLD stems from them in the past...

Put your bullet of choice in your drill, add JB or other polishing compound and polish your stem until the mark on the bullet goes away.

This mark can also be caused by excessive seating pressure. Too much neck tension or compressed loads.
