Sears catalog from 1902

I just junked that sewing machine (only so much room and the antique place offered me the original price..) and I am pretty sure my Sgt broke that anvil, (he did it easily, cause that is what SWAT Sgt's do to everything) and I am positive I have two of those hammers in my drawer.

The original “shop at home” company from a century ago; yet they couldn’t adapt to the digital age in this one to sell their wares. Sadly, they just demolished the Sears store in Salt Lake City. Spend many a day there as a kid around this time of year. We waited for the annual Christmas catalog and would spend hours pouring over it wishing for things out parents couldn’t afford. Bought my shop air compressor from there about 15 years ago. It’s still going strong.

We didn’t have a Sears in the town I was raise but we finally got a pick center, order by phone and picked and paid at that pick up center Cause there was no debt card or ups back then, their Christmas catalogue was what kids looked at picked out what they hope Santa would bring them
