Searching for a chambering.

The 25 souper is a neat little round I don't have the data in front of me I'm about 650 miles from it right now ;) the 25/06 has more powder space so it's gonna be faster that's just a given it that whole cubic inches thing like drag racing. Might try a search on it I just got in so after a shower and some food I might see what I can find. My smith has one and loves it for these Okie deer he's a huge fan of the 25/06 but he siad he can't see a good enough reason to build one since he has his souper. Later,

Kirk

This is what I found and take it for what it's worth just information found on the internet, don't take it to heart cause well it could kill ya! I'll have to talk to my smith when I get back home about his souper and what velocities he's getting powder all that good jive stuff anyway here's something to think about. Later,

Kirk

Hey thanks for the link. Looks like a pretty cool site. I'm not a member,so I didn't get too far with the data. I may sign up in the near future though. Thanks again, R.J.

My dad has a 25-284 that he loves to death. He kick his beloved 270win to the curb for this gun. and you can find load data for pretty easy.

Hard to go wrong with a .260 Remington. Even with that "horrible" Remington brass, it was just used to win the National Championships and set a new record while doing so - accuracy is obviously there...

Works very well on varmints & coyotes and will hammer a mule deer just fine. Easy on the shoulder, easy to load, easy on brass & barrel life. Just a nice all-around combination - since you want to avoid the .243 or the 6mm Rem - either one of which will also do what you ask.

Regards, Guy
