Search function on forum

Whenever I do a search on the forum it gives me posts from present to as far back as 12 years ago. In no particular order.

Is there a way to search or sort for most recent? Am I missing something or it just the nature of computer search technology?

You can also fill in the 'Newer Than' field to limit how far back

First, go to the search field in upper right.

After typing your search request in the 1st Field, put your cursor in the third field, labeled "Newer Than". This brings up a calendar for setting the start date (oldest article).

Second, click on the GRAY "More..." button at the bottom of the search field. When you click on that you will get a bunch of options. One of the options will allow you to display the "MOST RECENT" articles first. SEE:
