6X40 TPI. Tommy McAnyone know off hand the size and threads of a Ruger MKII front sight screw with a 10" barrel?
I know it is not 6-32 (but really close to it)
Ruger says 6x40. After all they made it. Tommy McIf you need a screw for it try Ace Hardware, they have a cabinet with special sized screws - they even have drawers of gunsmith screws.
p.s. - I do not have a Ruger but I would think that it is more than likely a 6-48, that is a more common size used on firearms.
Regardless they are cheap enough that you can get one of each just to be sure you have the right one and not have to make another trip.

It should be the same as any scope base screw . So if you have a package of weaver , burris , leupold bases with spare screws , your set !Anyone know off hand the size and threads of a Ruger MKII front sight screw with a 10" barrel?
