Scott parker, single kernel scales.

looks like its the yearly post about Scott Parker. I recently sent him a 10-10 I had purchased. he was all up for conversation right up to the point where he told me he received it, and it would be two weeks turn around. fast forward almost 4 weeks, and nothing. wont answer a call, or return messages. I understand my month in waiting time is nothing compared to the wait time some guys currently have. I also understand this is a side gig for him, and he has a family and a career. with that being said, has ANYONE been in contact with him lately, or received a scale back from him. from what I read his tuned scales are 2nd to none and worth the wait. but...curious as to how long I actually have to wait.

My two weeks lasted for 6 months. The wait sucked, but I knew what I was getting myself into. It just sucks being lied to. I still would have did it if he had told me it would take 6 months.

The scale was a huge improvement over the factory one that I had used previously, so there’s that.

Dub, have you ever had too wait on custom barrels or bullets, I have and it's Not fun..but if I've got too wait on the good stuff..there's probably a reason, everybody wants 'um and ordered ahead of you.
Lets Not talk about Gunsmiths .
yes indeed I have, but to be ignored and lied to changes ones perception

I have an M5 I would like to have tuned but there's no way I'm sending it to him. There's too much history of poor communication and extended timeframes way beyond what could be considered reasonable.

Reminds me of SSS.
Lots of posts as what could happen.
An honest time frame and good communication are two good starters for a business.
That they make an exceptional product only matters if you do indeed receive it.

Read posts from others who have sent him a scale and the answer to your question is ?????
Could be years. And the worst part is you will never really know.
Will never send him a scale. Save the aggravation, and some extra cash, and buy a great electronic scale instead.

When I googled him before I sent it, I found some good reviews...the more I searched the more worried I became. None the less, I don’t mind waiting on a good product, just would like to know how long I have to wait. Everything I’ve read says once you get it, you’ll be more than happy. Thankfully match season is delayed right now. Hopefully I get it back before it starts up.

Give it a couple of months. I think some scales are a real pain to get right and he is a perfectionist. When you get yours you will agree it was worth the wait. I agree his business practice leaves a lot to be desired. I think the reason he doesn't have any competition is the amount of time to get a scale done is hardly equivalent to the money gained.

He is SLOW, but one of the best at a balance beam scale. It will be months and he won't get right back to you but,
why do you think everyone sends or buy's his scales?
If you know this going into it, then just keep up on it every couple of weeks.
Most of us have 1, 2, or 3 scales setting around. You need a backup.

If I needed a scales like he makes them, knowing all that I have read, I’d still buy one from him and not look back. But, that’s just me.
