Scott Parker scale

Sparker wants to sell tuned scales that he has in stock. I have had some PM conversations with him. He seems to discourage those that want to send in their scales saying the may or not be USA made and are not worthy of his efforts to tune. But he makes no effort to help identify whether my (our) scales are USA made or not. Even when sending photos Sparker replies like "not a USA specific color" and then won't make an effort to identify.

I have a really nice Ohaus 1010 that is very accurate and was considering having it tuned by Sparker . Too much run around from Sparker wanting me to buy a tuned scale he already has tuned and in stock.

He is starting to come off to me as a rascal and I would prefer not to deal with him.

Mods, please feel free to delete this if you think this inappropriate.

I've learned that straight 40 is too thick. I'll give that a try.

I have four scales that have been tuned by Scott. An Ohaus 10-05, and a Lyman M5, both of which I bought myself and sent to him for tuning. I also have a matched set of oil dampening Redding #1’s that Scott had in his inventory and tuned to perfection for me. All four are amazingly sensitive and accurate. All four transactions went very smoothly and I did not consider the waiting time at all unreasonable with the understanding that Scott does this work as a side job/hobby. He is a master at what he does and I for one am a very satisfied customer!
