The Scot Brigadier powders are generally 1 to 2 grains FASTER than their analogs. They are made from nitro cotton, single base, cool and clean burning. Would be worth a try. Just start low, chronographing as you work up.I'm almost out of H4198 and have a buddy that has lots of Scot 4197. Is this a viable choice for my 30 BR or is it too slow with 118gr bullets? Thanks
I have Brigadier 3032 and Scot Powder Co, Reloading manual #3 1990. This is what post about Brigadier 4197. A quick but cooler burning single base tubular rifle powder appr 1-2 gr slower than IMR-4198/H-4198. Very similar in burn rate to Reloader 7I'm almost out of H4198 and have a buddy that has lots of Scot 4197. Is this a viable choice for my 30 BR or is it too slow with 118gr bullets? Thanks
