Went and purchased a Sightron iii 10X50 lrmoa on line from the least expensive co I could find. It came with these pop up lens covers that are OK. Had the back one come apart. Called Sightron this am and after 2 minutes there was free ones in the mail, as should be.

Took my Sightron to the range and setup next to my bud with a NF Br. No noticeable difference. Best scope I have and I have 3, T-36s.

My Burris Signature 8x32 got some "bubbles" on the inside lens and I sent it back and they are to put fineplex's in while getting serviced. [crosshairs n dots were to big for me they don't have the hash marks like some others] We will see how I like that when I get it back.

Just a note. Link

My Sightron III 10-60 has 1/8 min adjustments. I have the fine reticule. I also have two NF BR 12-42's. The Sightron glass is good but not better than the NF.

I haven't owned a NF to compare, I have a Leupold vx-3 lr target 6.5-20 and a Burris 8-32 black diamond and a Bushnell Elite that I feel the Sightron is better so far!

Is that LRMOA 1/4 adjustments?

Yes Sir. 1/4 moa. However whenever I shoot, I finding myself holding off for conditions or whatever. So I see no need for anything finer than 1/4.

We didn't find the Siii better than the NF us ol coots just couldn't tell the difference.

Do you mean your Sightron III 10-50x60?

I have two Sightron III 10-50x60 scopes and it will only be a matter of time before your replacement lens covers will come apart, mine did. I love my Sightron's but why they use those lens covers I will never understand. Go to http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php?topic=3788684.0 and order these lens covers for $10.00 a set including shipping from one of our fellow forum members. See his pictures and read some of the responses from those who have purchased them. So far I have bought 3 sets.

plus one on the lens covers from Tony and if you can't live with the 1/4 min. adjustments Sightron will change them for $ 135.

I've yet to try one of the 10-50s, but do have a couple of their 8-32x56s, plus several 6-24x50 LRMOAs. I have nothing but good things to say about the optical quality, accuracy & consistency of their clicks. Best scopes for the money that I've owned.

I've also got a couple of Vortex 6-24x50 PSTs with the EBR-1 MOA reticle, and much prefer that reticle to Sightron's LRMOA. The Vortex scopes also ship with a bunch of brass shims to be used in the elevation turret as a zero stop. That's saved my bacon several times during precision rifle/tactical matches, and I really wish Sightron would make the changes needed so they could include such a zero stop. Yeah, it's a bit crude compared to what NF, S&B, Premier, and other high dollar makers use, but it works.

Bottom line for me - if I could get the Vortex PST with glass as good as the SIII's, I'd be happy. If I could get a SIII with a reticle comparable to the EBR-1 & a zero stop, I'd also be happy.
