Scope Shopping: What Reticle?

alamo308

USAF Airborne Combat Recon: "Above All: Accuracy!"
For target shooting (.223 and .308 F-T/R), from 100 to 1000 yards, are there significant advantages and disadvantages among these reticles?
(Fictional example: "The MOA-2 provides superior precision for windage hold-off, while the plain Dot provides no windage hold-off reference marks.")
...Or is just a matter of personal preference?

1. Dot
2. Mil-Dot
3. Mil-Hash
4. MOA-2

Mostly personal preference. I personally like the DDR-2 and the hashed moa reticles, NP-R1 or R2. Haven't tried the FCR yet.

Sightron LRMOA
Thanks, Armored.
I do already have a Sightron SIII MOA on my .308, and I've only shot it three times at 550 yards, but it seems to do a credible job. Being a newbie with no comparison experience, I just am not sure if it's the best configuration, and should I be looking at something else, reticle-wise.

Basically, I'm happy, ...but ignorant.
:P

For hunting I like a MOA reticle.

That being said, my F-TR rifle has the SIII with LRTD reticle and I really like it
