Scope Ring Height Suggestions

Hi all new to the forum,
I have just purchased a new Sako 85 with a heavy varmint barrel and would like to know if anybody can help me out. I have ordered a night force 5.5x22/56mm and amplanning on using sako bases and optilock rings but am unsure as to what size ring I will need medium or high. My local gun shop wants to wait till the scope comes in then work it out from there but he has no medium rings in stock and it will be a couple of weeks before he does. Trying to get the gun together asap for a hunting trip so don't really want to wait around for them. Anybody have any idea what size I may need?(want to keep the scope as close to the gun as possible). Is there any way I can calculate the size rings I will need? Thanks in advance
