Scope Mounts to Move Rearward?

does anyone make scope rings that will allow me to move my scope further back than the standard rings. I am using Burris signature rings with inserts and need my scope to be closer to my eye. I get lined up for a shot and am having to reach for the proper scope picture.

Maybe Talley LW ring mounts. I think it depends on the action. On a M700 I’ve had the front ones oriented both ways.

Weaver, and I also have extension rings on a redfield base, could have been redfield or burris or leupold. Google search 1 inch scope "extension rings"

The one piece scope mount as used on an AR turned backwards will move that scope closer as long as you have a pic rail. They are also usually close to 1.5 inches to the center of the rings so it will allow a large scope to clear.
I have done this myself, works perfect.

Shortening should not effect the height. What rifle is it? Have pics of the set up now?

Leupold use to make extension rings. I had a set on a Weatherby Mark V that worked quite well to move the scope closer to my eye with a comfortable cheek weld.

Part of the issue with a large objective like 60mm, is also the stock comb height. That can be easily and economically remedied with "vet wrap" if the stock does not have an adjustable comb. Having proper eye relief and cheek weld is absolutely essential for precision shooting. It is good you are addressing the issue.

Yes, there are both extended rings and extended bases. Base may depend on what receiver it is. I'd need to look myself but you might see if Burris has the Signature extended rings. I don't remember seeing them but, worth a look, especially if it's an action that you can't find an extended base to fit. Love those rings. Real good problem solvers.

Measure pull length, and what is the advertised eye relief of your scope?
