What kind of stock and which brand of rings?

Cheapest way in the long run would be to get rail first then stack pennies in between the rail and scope to find the exact height you want, then order that height of scope rings.

do not forget to calc scope tilt if a 0 base is used

I have 4-20x50 stac on 2 different varmint contour 22-250's. 0 moa EGW rails, medium Burris, Sig Sauer rings. One in a factory Rem synthetic stock, other is a Axion chassis type stock. Plenty of clearance with both.
