Scope Mount for K Frame

I have a S & W model 53 in .22 Jet. I am contemplating putting a scope on it. I know that there is, or was, a scope mount that utilizes the rear hole in the top strap after you remove the rear site. I think you have to drill a second hole. This is covered if you remove it and reinstall the rear site.
Also, then you need a huge holster unless you want to carry it. Do you have to have one custom made?

These are great for the price! I use one on a 357 and it has held up perfect.

I had my smith drill/tap using this mount for my M648 22WMR using Leupold base & rings :



Only option for me as this Smith was not d/t'd from the factory.
