Scope issue -- Zero moving during 4WD Rides

I work on a ranch and I spend a lot of time on the four-wheeler with my rifle in a gun holder on the front rack of the four-wheeler. My rifle also rides in the seat of the truck all the time. What scope has the strongest turret system that will hold zero under rough conditions?

I am currently using a Burris 2x - 8X signature series scope and I am having trouble getting it to stay zeroed after riding on the four-wheeler. The scope will hold zero fine if it just stays in the truck but when it's on the rough ranch roads on the four-wheeler it seems to knock it off of zero.

I'm just needing a hunting style scope something in the 3 to 9 range or 2 to 10 x

I do the same thing you do, except on an island. The rifle is in pickups, a home made tractor mount, Polaris, and deer stands. I bought a 2.5x8x32 Leupold VXIII with the Boone & Crockett reticle here in the classifieds. I has worked great for me, holding zero and the subtensions are perfect for my .223 loads out to 400 yd, plus it is trim in size and weight. Every time I start a new batch of reloads, I shoot the 200 yard target and it holds zero. Only bad thing is that they don't put that reticle in the 2.5x8 any more. The next I will try is a Sightron S-TAC 2x10x32 with the Hunter Hold Over reticle, because I like using subtensions.

Steel Weaver Micro-Trac, Sightron SII or SIII, older (cheaper) Nightforce.

Never used them, but could see where two cantilever rings don't line up perfect. Did you lap 'em and torque 'em to the correct spec?
Honestly I put the rings on and set the scope in them. Lightly tightened them and they held amazingly well. So i torqued them on down and haven't touched them since. It may be a good idea for me to at least check the screws. Who knows one may have came loose and it's not the scope at all. Man that would make me feel really stupid

Were I live most of my customers are ranchers or ranch hands. The rifles they bring me to work on look like they were drug behind the truck instead of inside. I think the 2.5 -10 NXS Nightforce is tough and compact. Mounted in good strong Picatinny rings and base. It's a little pricey but you won't have to worry about it.
